I’m extremely excited to announce the formation of the St Pete .NET Meetup.

We are a group of individuals looking to discuss programming techniques and improving our skills.

Meetings are the first Tuesday of the month at The Iron Yard St Pete. Doors open at 6:30pm and the presentations begin sharply at 7:00 pm. Along with a great presentation, we have food and raffle prizes.

When I moved to St Petersburg, FL I attended a variety of tech meetups. I wasn’t able to find a local .NET meetup. Leaving Louisville really made me miss the excellent group there, so I immediately started the plans for a new organization.

About a month after I moved to the area a friend and former coworker, Clayton Hunt, moved down to take a new job in Palmetto, just south of St Pete. Having worked well together at two former employers, it was a no-brainer when he agreed to help with the meetup.

Our first meeting will be “TDD: The Bowling Game”, to be held Tuesday, January 5th at The Iron Yard.
